Privacy Policy

Last updated: 14 April 2026

DigiLegaci (“we”, “our”, “us”) is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your data when you use our platform. By using DigiLegaci, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

Important: DigiLegaci stores highly sensitive personal and legal information. We treat your data with the highest level of care, using encryption at rest and in transit, and will never sell your personal information to third parties.

  • Device information (device type, operating system)
  • Usage data (features used, actions taken within the platform)
  • Check-in timestamps and activity

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide and operate the DigiLegaci platform
  • Generate and store your legal will and estate documents
  • Deliver legacy messages to your designated contacts at the appropriate time
  • Manage Life Check (check-in) scheduling and notifications
  • Verify identity and maintain account security

We do not use your information for advertising, and we will never sell your data to third parties.

3. Data Storage & Security

All data is encrypted at rest using AES-256 encryption and in transit using TLS 1.3. Vault documents are stored using Cloudflare R2 with server-side encryption. We apply the principle of least privilege, so only essential systems and authorised personnel can access your data, and only when operationally necessary.

Access to your Vault and legacy materials requires dual confirmation from two designated trusted contacts. No single person, including DigiLegaci employees, can unilaterally access your private documents.

4. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all personal data, including will drafts, vault files, messages, and contact records, will be permanently deleted within 30 days.

We may retain anonymised, aggregated data (with no personally identifiable information) for service improvement purposes indefinitely.

5. Sharing Your Information

We only share your information in the following circumstances:

  • With trusted contacts you have explicitly designated, and only when the dual-confirmation Life Check conditions are met
  • With service providers who help operate our platform (e.g. cloud storage, email delivery), bound by confidentiality agreements
  • When required by law, court order, or government authority
  • In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of the company, you will be notified in advance

6. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access a copy of your personal data
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Request deletion of your data (right to erasure)
  • Object to or restrict processing of your data
  • Data portability: receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
  • Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@digilegaci.com.

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies to maintain your session and platform functionality. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. You can manage cookie preferences in your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may affect platform functionality.

8. Legal Disclaimer
